Who didn’t like ‘No Scrubs’? That song was so popular, it was top of the charts for what felt like years. This is also one of my first experiences with black futurism. I was 10 when it came out. I was never into sci-fi and robots and shit. It’s one of my earliest musical memories – I think it might have been the first record I bought.
