Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

8. Richard H. KirkLoopstatic: Amine ß Ring Modulations

Richard H. Kirk is just so prolific and inventive. I know how hard it can be to just sit there day after day by yourself, creating music, but the way he just keeps at it in this workman like way is something I’ve always really admired and tried to bring into my own way of working. I’ve only got a fraction of his albums but they’re all just really astonishing. I just love the way he weaves rhythmic and sonic textures together on this – it’s fantastic.
