6. IasosBora Bora
He lives in California, in the San Francisco Bay area and he uses massive amounts of equipment when tours. His synthesizer sounds were very inspiring to me. He also appeared playing electric flute on an album his friend Stephen Halpern in the 70s, Christening for Listening – that really opened my imagination to “New Age” music – that can flow, without end or beginning, that floating, drifting, immersive quality.
There’s a real Polynesian sound to “Bora Bora” and the synth that he uses is very alive, animated, uplifting, lifting beyond the earth dimension, almost like having a conversation with the human spirit, encouraging us to rise, to celebrate, to transcend. It’s very therapeutic. He himself is a great teacher – he’s constantly spouting wisdom.
