13. CorciolliThe Tranquillity Of The Sounds Of Nature

I only heard this for the first time two days ago! Corciolli is a Brazilian musician who’s done a very wide range of collaborations. This really speaks to me because I love working with the sounds of nature myself – waterfalls, for example. It’s a release from music on man-made instruments – to hear non-man made sounds, channeled in this way is a true breath air for me – it’s very healing to be freed up from the mechanical, predictive progression of music, or music which moves to recognisable harmonies or frequencies. Natural sounds aren’t like that – you don’t think of nature as being flat or sharp.
