Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

3. Pink FloydWish You Were Here

I remember getting a summer job in the south of France on a campsite when I was 15. I had to drive down with the boss in his sports car towing a speed boat; he didn’t talk much, and he only had one tape – Wish You Were Here – on repeat. It was a very formative soundtrack and I’ve always been into film soundtracks since.

I’ve probably bought this album more times than any other – I’ve bought it over a dozen times, as I’ve worn previous ones out. This never disappoints, and always puts me into a reverie. Stunning production…

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Marry Waterson, Tom G. Warrior
