His stuff it reminds me of the absurdity that I want to connect to. Whenever I’m rehearsing for a tour and things feel a bit monotonous, listening to his music and this album reminds me to be playful with my music. Be open but with a sense that’s there’s something bubbling underneath. I’ve always enjoyed making people feel a bit uncomfortable with the sounds and music I make. That’s how his music feels like as well – he tells you everything is okay but you just don’t feel like it is.
