This album was given to me by a friend, when I was going on a big journey. I was going from South London where I’d lived all my life, to live in the mountains between France and Spain for a year and a half. I left behind everything I’d ever known, but I took this album with me. It speaks so much about family, grief, the power of music – it’s a healing masterpiece. I’d really recommend people listen to it all the way through, and if possible on vinyl. I listen to it for healing, it’s like a meditation. I also love how these choral arrangements are almost like brass arrangements, but sung – it was a big inspiration for the brass on Self Titled
