7. New OrderPower Corruption & Lies

I mean, I’ve fallen off in recent years but ‘Age Of Consent’ is probably still one of my top five songs. It’s just a perfect song. They cut through to some degree in the States, at least as far as I could tell. ‘Blue Monday’ was everywhere, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’ was everywhere. You’d hear New Order at the ’80s dance nights I’d go to with all my derelict friends. I found this album on tape for a buck. I completely wore it out. I’ve still never seen them, which is ridiculous, but one of my friends saw them the other night in New York and she said it was great.
