9. Blue Oyster CultBlue Öyster Cult

Blue Öyster Cult and In Trance by Scorpions were also records I bought back with the money from Virgin. ‘Then Came The Last Days Of May’ was such a creepy story and the music somehow reminded me of ‘Seasons Of Wither’ by Aerosmith; another haunting vibe story and then Scorps’ In Trance has another epic, tranced-out vibe. Those records and Hot Rats were on my turntable constantly during the mid-90s, and proved to be very subconsciously influential in my writing. I just can’t imagine that certain records didn’t have some influence after years of repeated listening.
