4. Keith JarrettI Loves You Porgy

The whole score to that musical is very beautiful. Keith Jarrett is one of my favorite piano players. This song was on a CD I was given by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, with whom I was working. I did a couple of things with her actually: a year onstage in a Shakespearean production, as well as some film work. She said, "You must take this CD, it’ll change your life.” And it certainly did. My wife was giving birth to our child, and I had it on a playlist to play in the room. He’s just the most soulful, inventive, masterful jazz pianist.
