Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

13. GesaffelsteinAleph

Gesaffelstein is probably less well known in the UK. But he has a very specific techno sound that’s recognisable. He’s a young artist, but he’s already collaborated with Kanye West and many others. I’m honoured to have him involved with my new album because he has that minimalist, dark techno feel. He’s from my hometown actually, but he has a name that could quite easily suggest he’s from Germany. He also has a lot in common with Berlin in that his music is very harsh and violent, but at the same time there’s this mysterious texture. He has a rich, sonic world and Aleph has been one of my favourite albums recently.
