2. Fleetwood MacRumours

The other record that I remember my dad having was Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, which is, I think, probably a lot of people’s favourite record. It’s another example of great well-written pop music – a bunch of really talented, amazing musicians in a band writing great music that is so objectively good and memorable. I would like to believe those two records [Motown: The Classic Years and Rumours] were probably the only good music I was listening to from like zero to 12, maybe shaping me in the way I think about melody and songwriting.
