8. Miles DavisKind Of Blue

So in doing my research, I went through some of the other [Baker’s Dozen] lists, and I was delighted to see that this album appeared on a few. I discovered Miles Davis on a compilation album that my mum had, probably on one of those Sunday afternoons digging through my parents’ CDs. You only have to hear those first few notes, and you’re instantly being submerged in the deepest bubble bath. It’s so rich. I can be quite a frantic human being at times, so to be paused by music is quite an amazing experience for me. It makes my world stop when I realise I’ve gone too fast. I listen, have a breath, then I’ll go fast again.
