5. Curtis Fullers Quintet

Although I did my best, my co-DJ Pete was way ahead of me with the jazz stuff. My even-now fairly meagre jazz collection was even smaller back then, but this gem made its way successfully to the turntable a few times. From 3:55-4:28 this sounds so much like that daft Can track ‘Pnoom’ – I was always tempted to mix them together. Sounded awful though, I soon discovered, and only really to be attempted when very drunk.
