I have no idea what they’re singing. It could be racist drivel, so if it is, I apologise there. But I hope it isn’t and I doubt it is. I’d hope a song with such joy and movement could only be sending out positivity and love. Good Cajun fiddle playing always gets me; a well double-stopped fiddle could restart my heart, I reckon. I hope we won’t have to try that too soon though. Can you imagine if it worked? We could get it on the NHS – Heart-Starting Double-Stop Fiddlers. Until Cameron decided to privatise all the fiddles, sell them to his moneyed friends and Tory party donors and then rent them back to us at three times the price.
