Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

7. The Stone Roses – The Stone Roses

Acid house, and what was going on at the time – this record came through that. For me, I wasn’t that into rock music but that record just came through and ‘Fool’s Gold’ was just a defining moment at that time. It’s that classic thing about that band, the members were all amazing in their own individual right as players, the song writing was unreal, ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ was one of my favourite songs of all time. It was also the catalyst for what happened in British rock music that came afterwards.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Liam Gallagher
