Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

1. DJ Shadow – Endtroducing

I heard the album being made, but it was amazing to hear it finally finished. Working on Psyence Fiction, it was an amazing relationship, communicating about music. We were really into collecting samples, constantly bringing different records to the table, trying to find more unusual records to work with at the time. It was an amazing time when everything was very naive and you both feel like anything is possible. It was also quite unusual because it was all Trans-Atlantic, I was going to San Francisco, he was coming to London, and so it was an interesting dynamic in that way as well.
