Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

10. Larry And The LefthandedQuantum Rider

It’s this Finnish band and they’re my big idols. I was listening to this when it came out in 1998, so it was a very influential album. I got it as a Christmas present, but I also got a stomach ache that day. I still like it but for some time it always reminded me of having a stomach ache. At some point Larry left so they renamed themselves ‘And The Lefthanded’, but they’re very inspiring people. When they played in my hometown in 2000 I gave them my demo, and when I moved to Helsinki I got to know them. They’re friends of mine now!
