Humble Pie – Smokin’

I tripped over an album I used to play all the time by Humble Pie recently called Smokin’. [sings] "Thirty days in the hole…" Unbeknownst to me, Peter Frampton had left the band – I didn’t even know he was in the band then – and it was Steve Marriot singing.

You know that whole movie Almost Famous is about Humble Pie, don’t ya think? I think in the movie the singer was getting less attention that the guitar player, that might have been the whole Peter Frampton thing. So, Humble Pie, used to listen to that all the time.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
