Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

8. GoldfrappSeventh Tree

I got a turntable when I was 21 or something, and I bought this on vinyl from a great record store in Oslo called Big Dipper. I listened to it on repeat for weeks. The sound was so good, the songs were so good. I love the production, I love her vocals, I love how they decided to make something so different from what they had done before. They’d been an electronic act and this was a folk album. It’s an album I put on to feel good, because there’s so much positivity around it.
