Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

11. The CorrsUnplugged

This is a really good album. Honestly. Because the songs are really good. I don’t like the sound and production of their other albums anymore, I’ve grown out of them – I listened to their whole catalogue on repeat when I was young – but this one I still think is very good: great songs, great lyrics, great arrangements. It’s pop music, and I don’t care that it’s not cool, because it’s a great album. Maybe this is the moment where the Corrs get critically rehabilitated, because there’s been a change with adult pop getting taken more seriously again.
