There are Beatles songs I hate – ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ – but so what? England is where my brain was. I was always too chicken to move here: why would I want to be in competition with all these guys. It was always exciting to see what the Beatles would do next. The good stuff just can’t be topped.
