Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

12. KlashnekoffThe Sagas Of

Just like Skinnyman, he’s one of the first people from the UK who I heard a body of work that was on a level of an American’s body of work in terms of lyrics, production, how everything’s put together. I couldn’t do this list without putting Klashnekoff in it. Stand out track is ‘Murder’. I actually came across it on Channel U. Music has gone into a space where it’s less about music, now – people aren’t so interested based on a voice, or based on how they spit. It’s more about things they might be involved with. Everything’s driven by a scandal. So somebody like Klashnekoff that was really about music doesn’t get spoken that much about in this generation, unfortunately.
