Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

10. Jori HulkkonenYou Don

Easily one of the tracks of my life. What is special with house (and techno) is that sometimes synths in the songs give me flashbacks from my childhood. This isn’t supposed to happen. Not at all. Only songs from your childhood should bring childhood memories but in the 90s while listening to a lot of this music I discovered that it gave me vivid pictures of my very happy childhood here at TÃ¥rnÃ¥sen/Kolbotn. New music giving back old memories. Sometimes I would write on little notes what exact places it reminded me of and leave the notes in the CDs but with my vinyl it was more difficult to do this. Anyway the synth lines here are just a part of my childhood even though I didn’t hear this until I was 26-years-old! Can’t live without it.
