Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

I am such a big fan of his work – when I first heard him, with R Plus Seven, it felt like looking at something that’s super new and being awakened somehow. It was a very epic record and I really connected with the choices he makes throughout. Getting to meet him was a dream and I really wanted to do something with him, but you never know if something will happen. But he had a concert in New York a month ago and he invited me to join him for three songs at the end of the set. It was very crazy because I had two days to practise. I was so nervous about it – what can I play on these songs that are perfect already?
