Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

I learned about so many things through the internet, it’s crazy. I looked up Monk one day just to listen to her and found the album Turtle Dreams with a very artsy video. Key was suggested underneath. I clicked on it to see what it was about, and it’s such a naked sound – like a kind of organ or piano with her voice. It made me feel this goblin feeling – it instantly touched my heart and I wanted to cry, and I fell deeply in love with it. There’s another amazing video of her playing in a tower, with musicians standing around a spiral staircase, singing her compositions – I feel that. She really touches that nerve that makes me want to cry.
