Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

9.

New Order – Substance

Without a doubt one of my favourite groups, they always have been and possibly always will be, so it would be impossible to talk about influential albums without mentioning them. Given the music I’m known for, it may seem predictable to mention New Order, but there’s no escaping the fact that the music I have made wouldn’t exist without New Order. Anybody reading The Quietus won’t need me to expand on them. Just happy to get this one out the way.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
