There was something about that whole London sound. The record is all about the beats, which they do so well, and of course Caron Wheeler’s voice is just incredible. She’s a singer I really look up to – such a big, powerful voice. ‘African Dance’ got me as well – it’s marrying that whole London sound, and jazz, with African instrumentation as well.
