9. Amadou & MariamLa Confusion
I was first drawn to them by the record cover and that title, then in the opening song ‘Bofou Safou’ there’s this mix of African instruments and synths. We got to open for them in San Francisco which was cool, because we got to sit in and see their set. The way they perform and get their sound going is really great.
