Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

6. PfmStoria Di Un Minuto

Big up the Italian prog massive! This is stuff I was brought up on. My uncle was a massive fan of PFM, and they were huge in Italy, as was Aphrodite’s Child. I love their 666 too. That’s one mental record! I lived in Rome as a kid and up and down the Italian peninsula a bit. I love the continuous push in that country between the past and the future. I love the tension. I mean, every time I walk past The Colosseum, I’m always, how the fuck did that happen? I never tire of that. It never fails to not surprise me. Like when you see a painting go and look at it over and over again and discover something new.
