13. Sorcerer

"For my last film I’m just going to go with an epic. I love Sorcerer. It’s just a great movie. Sorcerer I think was Friedkin’s pinnacle. I remember going and seeing it in the theatre and being dazzled with the grim depiction of these guy’s lives and the epic quality of their quest. It’s just so underrated, and it was critically trashed at the time!"

It doesn’t really seem to have got its due.

"No, not at all. But it’s funny, movies that don’t get their due, when you have a place for them in your heart then it just doesn’t matter. Especially when you run into somebody who’s a fellow fan of Starship Troopers and Point Break like yourself, it’s like you communicate telepathically. It’s the definition of a cult film, I suppose."
