9. Van MorrisonBorn To Sing: No Plan B

He put out this record in 2012, and at 3 in the morning in the front lounge of the tour bus I would abuse people with it. You can ask the members of Destroyer or anyone that was present. I just really, really liked the sound of it. I couldn’t stop thinking about the sound of it when we were recording our record. It haunts me still. I think his singing is so good and a lot of it sounds like really basic Irish Starbucks music. But I don’t see it that way at all. I think the playing on it is super legit and I think there’s at least three or four songs on that record that I’ve listened to like 500 times.
