7. UlverNattens madrigal

There’s a lot of great Norwegian black metal from this time period, but this is the best, in my opinion. Allegedly they were given a large advance from a label, which they blew on renting a limo and bought expensive Italian suits for their promo photo! Then they went into the forest of Norway to record this album on a battery-driven cassette four-track.
