Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

11.

Melvins – (A) Senile Animal I love this album; it’s because they use two drummers and they have some great drum solos on there, they just stepped out, on their own and really experimented. And again, artistry, expanding and challenging the listener; for me it’s amazing. It might sound a bit strange but Dale Crover is definitely an influence to me; the power with which he plays a four piece drum set is super inspiring, And it’s inspiring for my new band that I have going [PHILM] where I do play a four piece kit – it’s just awesome.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
