Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

13. Scout NiblettKidnapped By Neptune

A wholly addictive record full of short, sideways hooks and melodies. There is something so pure about Scout’s voice too. The album holds a fond place in my memory as a reminder of the time I was first moving to London and all the excitement that brought with it. The fact that the oddball title track was a main room favourite at Trash was instant confirmation that 1) it was one of the best clubs in the world, and that 2) I had found a new home. Erol’s [Alkan, Trash founder and Phantasy head] enthusiasm has always been unbridled and now, several years down the line, I’m proud to be a part of the Phantasy family.
