So it was with renewed energy that I started seeking out and making new music again. It was a period in the studio where I felt I was finally able to actualise some of the sounds in my head. This album very much represents that time for me. I love the intensity of it throughout; it feels like you get trapped inside it for its duration. I knew that was something I wanted to aim for in the studio. There’s also something very futurist about this sound. That idea of being respectful to the past but wanting to push things forward.
