Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

10. HTRKPsychic 9-5 Club

I like to think that if The Velvet Underground and Nico were around today, they might sound something like HTRK. I’ve been a huge fan of the band for years and put on one of their early London shows so it’s been a pleasure to watch what they’ve become. Like the New Order record, this album is a band coming to terms with a tragic loss of a member and is simultaneously their most affecting and uplifting work. A perfect modern pop band.
