Around the same time I was listening to Kevin’s tracks, I was also first getting into uillean pipes. I ended up researching a lot more about pipers from different countries, and this is one of the first album that took me towards looking at pipes from other places. There’s definitely a similar thing [to Promenade] when it comes to the groove of the tune, letting that hypnotic thing go round and round, with the same rhythm. You definitely feel a bit of that in this album.
