Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

10. Anna Von HausswolffAll Thoughts Fly

At the minute, especially in a live context, I really like to hear something that I haven’t heard before. I like the stimulation. I have been listening to this album for a few years, I’m just really enjoying the fact that it’s organ in a completely different context. I also think the pipes and organ have a lot in common. There’s something about the organ which is very in or out. It’s not a subtle instrument. You can only be playing it when the pedals are going, and you can only play the pipes when you’re physically pushing the bellows. I’d love to work with an organist at some stage.
