Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

I’ve played with him a few times, he’s amazing. I’ve been a big fan since I heard his first album. I just think it’s amazing that the can go up and just play a bit of solo concertina to a festival crowd. It’s just so stripped back, but there’s so much to it at the same time. He’s definitely pushing the boat out in the way he technically sees his instrument and creates sounds out of it. He’s using parts of the concertina to make it sound different, finding sounds you haven’t heard from a concertina before.
