Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

3. Fuck ButtonsStreet Horrrsing

Some elements of prog rock are very important to me because I like music that is, in some way, aggressive, especially if it’s political, and I think Fuck Buttons’ concept on this album is quite close to early Pink Floyd and the artistic vision of other prog bands. They captured a special energy on this record. It’s very abstract and I really love how the record flows. It develops very gradually and becomes more intense, so it takes its time. The style of music they are pushing felt quite isolated when it was released, too, because you couldn’t really say there was a specific scene that exists around the sounds and concepts across this album.
