Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

11. Eric Burdon and WarEric Burdon Declares “War”

I had some great memories of the track ‘Tobacco Road’. It’s very danceable; you can still listen to it today, although perhaps not the whole album, as it’s very blues-heavy. This track still keeps me dancing, I can’t sit still when I listen to it. His voice is brilliant too, it’s a very good album. It doesn’t fit very well with all the rest of my choices, it’s a very strange kind of compilation, but this is my world, I like lots of different styles. War are very funky and groovy, the band really flows, it’s brilliant.
