Muddy Waters – ‘I Can’t Be Satisfied’

Muddy Waters is one of the best of all time. He wrote the most beautiful songs. ‘I Can’t Be Satisfied’ has great lyrics, great playing and huge sensitivity. I think Muddy Waters embodies that American Indian aspect that no one ever mentions – it’s an unrecognised element of blues music. I hear blues music and I hear American Indian chanting. Muddy Waters does that, especially on ‘I Can’t Be Satisfied’.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
