Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

7.

Brian Eno – Apllo: Atmospheres And Soundtracks (Virgin, 1983)

I was Brian Eno’s A&R scout at EG records in the mid 80s. This album touches on a great love of mine: the Apollo Moon landing and whether they were real or not. Have you seen the film? The music is the soundtrack of the film For All Mankind. Fascinating footage made by the 12 astronauts that supposedly went to the moon. This wasn’t a drug album for me, but The Man-Machine, Low, African Dub Chapter 3 and Metal Box were.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
