Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

13.

Schneider TM – Zoomer (Mute, 2002)

This album saved my life. It is minimal techno with Beatles-esque lyrical delight. The most standout tune is the first track ‘Cuba’. It has a bass end you will be proud of and sweet innocent lyrics. I first heard it in Germany and it helped me stay sane when I broke up with the mother of Mia.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
