Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

7. Einstürzende NeubautenHaus Der Lüge

Genesis P. Orridge introduced me to industrial soundscapes through Throbbing Gristle. Then Austin Osman Spare, sex magick and esoteric readings in vein of Burroughs through the amazing PTV but it was Einstürzende Neubauten who properly taught me the art of noise as something else than just sound. Halber Mensch was the preamble, The House Of Lies and Grien’s horse the favourite of today. Certain artists influence not only musically, but also mentally, and alter the approach of how to make music:  Einstürzende Neubauten is one of those.
