Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

14. The ResidentsDuck Stab

The Residents represent to me music in its purest and most genuine form. In a perfect world all music would be based on the structures of The Residents. Its unadulterated soundscapes are reminiscent of children at play. And even the impact on video pop arts is considerable. Duck Stab is maybe a poor choice as it is originally only an EP but the track ‘Constantinople’ was how I initially became acquainted with what is now one of my favorite bands of all time.
