VariousRalph Before ’84 : Volume II

Around 1988, I was getting heavily into Cardiacs and The Residents. My mother’s cousin Keith gave me this LP. He owned a record shop in Rye. One day, I received this through the post and it totally blew my mind. I was introduced for the first time to bands like Renaldo And The Loaf, MX 80 Sound – they do an amazing cover of the Halloween theme – Tuxedomoon and Fred Frith. I went on to buy Art Bear’s Winter Songs from Keith, and that is still a much-loved LP. Thanks Keith

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
