The venue, which soft launches this week, will occasionally host gigs and other music events

The team behind London venues The Cause and All My Friends are taking over a pub in South London.

The Greyhound, on Peckham High Street, has been closed for an extended period while it has undergone renovation ready for a relaunch with its new operators at the helm. It will reopen as a two-floor pub and restaurant this Friday (March 8).

The space has been fitted with a DI Audio sound system, and will host gigs and other music events, as well as zine fairs and markets. Music programming will be controlled by The Cause's team, with a heavy focus on DJs and collectives associated with Peckham-based projects such as Rye Wax and Balamii.

The Greyhound will be open six days a week, and has a 1.30am closing time on its license. It has a capacity of 240 people across its two floors and outdoor area.

You can find out more about the new space via its website.
