The Rolling Stones – Beggars Banquet

I’m a huge fan of the film Performance. And this to me is the musical companion to that kinda vibe…it’s just the first complete form. It’s the last record Brian Jones made with The Stones, although he did maracas or something on Let it Bleed. But Beggars Banquet just nails the darkness and the foreboding – the anti establishment satanic flirtation where they eventually probably had Kenneth Anger sacrifice Brian to make ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, that was probably the deal!
